Actor shot at his home, wife and mother injured in attack
Actor Azizur Rahman Azad was injured in a robbery attack at his home in the Jirabo area of Ashulia, near Dhaka. The incident occurred early on Sunday morning when Azad confronted the robbers after sensing their presence. During the scuffle, he was shot three times in the legs. His mother and wife were also injured in the attack. The news was confirmed by Azad's close relative, film director Topu Khan. Topu Khan mentioned that Azad was rushed to a private hospital in Dhaka, bleeding heavily from the gunshots. After undergoing an MRI scan, Azad's condition was reported to be slightly improved. According to Azad's family, two robbers broke into their home, vandalized their rooms, and fired shots when the family screamed. There were other robbers waiting outside, and the attackers fled after the shooting. Azad, known for his work in both TV dramas and films, has been active in the industry for over nine years. He made his acting debut in 2016 and has since appeared in over 200 dramas. His recent film role was in *Leader Amie Bangladesh* (2023). Following the incident, director Kajal Arefin Ome expressed concerns about security in the country, calling on law enforcement to take action.
