Railway faces challenges with projects funded by Indian loan
Bangladesh Railway is encountering issues with projects financed by Indian loans. Although six years have passed since India pledged financial support for two projects, the promised funds have yet to be disbursed, causing delays in construction work. Additionally, two other projects under Indian loans saw construction progress, but the departure of Indian workers following the August 5, 2023, political upheaval has hindered work, as not all workers have returned.

While the emotional value of remembering the language's history is important, the real-world challenges it faces require a more forward-thinking approach. Languages must evolve to meet the demands of the future, adapt to new technologies, and compete with other global languages. Historically, Bangla has had to navigate dominance from English, Urdu, and others, and compromises were made to build the structure of Bangladesh. But the crucial question remains: how prepared is Bangla for the future?

রাজধানীর পুরানা পল্টনের জামান টাওয়ারে আগুনের ঘটনা ঘটে, তবে ফায়ার সার্ভিস তা নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে। বুধবার (২৬ ফেব্রুয়ারি) ভোর ৫টা ৩৪ মিনিটে আগুন লাগার খবর পাওয়া যায়। ফায়ার সার্ভিস জানায়, জামান টাওয়ারের চতুর্থ এবং পঞ্চম তলায় আগুন লাগে, যা সকাল ৭টা ৩৫ মিনিটে নিয়ন্ত্রণে আসে।

চট্টগ্রামে এক মহিলা তাঁর স্বামীকে কুপিয়ে হত্যা করেছেন। রবিবার সকাল 2:00 টার দিকে বন্দর শহরের হালিশারা থানাধীন বসুধরা আবাসিক এলাকায় ৩৬ বছর বয়সী আলাউদ্দিনকে তার চতুর্থ স্ত্রী নূরজাহান হত্যা করে।

চট্টগ্রামের ফটিকছড়ি উপজেলার বাগানবাজার ইউনিয়নে একটি প্রতারণার ঘটনা ঘটেছে, যেখানে ভাতিজা আবদুস শুক্কুর তার মৃত চাচা মুক্তিযোদ্ধা বসু মিয়াকে পিতা বানিয়ে তার মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সম্মানী ভাতা আত্মসাৎ করেছেন। শুক্কুর ২০১৪ সালে চাচাকে বাবা সাজিয়ে একটি ভুয়া এনআইডি তৈরি করেন এবং সেই এনআইডি দিয়ে ২০১৫ সাল থেকে মুক্তিযোদ্ধা ভাতা তুলতে থাকেন। এ প্রক্রিয়ায় তিনি ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের সচিব ও মুক্তিযোদ্ধা কমান্ডারের কাছ থেকে মাসোয়ারা নিতেন বলে দাবি করেছেন।
