Ekushey Padak-winning actor, playwright, and director Abul Hayat is returning to the silver screen after a two-year break with the film *Daymukti*, directed by Badiul Alam Khokon, set to release on February 7. The movie explores the theme of old-age homes, and Hayat shared that, at this stage in his life, roles like this are particularly meaningful to veteran actors. He emphasized his opposition to sending elderly parents to old-age homes, advocating for family unity and harmony instead.
Alongside his film return, Abul Hayat has recently appeared in a new advertisement and is preparing to shoot for a drama. He explained that he has become more selective with his work, particularly due to the challenges of long-distance travel for shoots at his age. As a result, he now prefers locations that are closer and more convenient.
In addition to his acting career, Abul Hayat is a respected author. His latest book, *Robi Poth*, was published this year and is available at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair. He expressed that completing the book took a long time, and he hopes readers enjoy it, with copies available at the fair.
