On October 7, 2019, the tragic death of BUET student Abrar Fahad, following a violent assault, sparked nationwide outrage. Inspired by this incident, Sheikh Jisan Ahamed created the short film "Room Number 2011." The film has already been shown in the United States and is gaining international attention. In Bangladesh, it has been screened in various theatres, such as Monihar in Jessore, and on several university campuses, including Jahangirnagar University. To make the film accessible to Bangladeshi audiences, the social enterprise Aktiful, founded by Bangladeshi-American expatriates, will release "Room Number 2011" on their YouTube channel on February 12. Director Sheikh Jisan Ahamed expressed his hope that audiences would enjoy the film and encouraged viewers to share their thoughts and feedback. He also thanked Aktiful for their support in bringing the project to life.
